Perilliset ry

Founded in 2010, Tourulan Kivääritehtaan Perilliset ry (TKP) is a firearms and war history association domiciled in Jyväskylä. The founders have an extensive experience in firearms and war history as professionals or through active participation at the club level or as individual hobbyists.

TKP’s mission is to promote research and retain the cultural heritage of firearms, supplies, and war history. The association provides the opportunity to practice this distinguished interest through a wide variety of activities among knowledgeable like-minded peers.

Special focus areas for TKP include the domestic firearms industry during Finland’s independency and the firearms and the firearm supplies artefacts used by different public safety authorities and officials.

ACTIVITIES

Member events

TKP organizes member-only events, where the members can explore various firearms, their technical implementations and operating practices. These events are pre-approved by the public safety officials and are always thoroughly planned and managed by qualified personnel.

Also, TKP provides a networking platform to develop relationships and meet other like-minded hobbyists.

Co-operation

TKP actively engages in co-operation with the authorities, firearm stores, other associations, and practitioners.

Presentations

The association also organizes presentations and exhibitions on topics related to the firearms and war history.

TKP works to preserve Finnish war history traditions and memorabilia. TKP has helped the Finnish veteran association’s partner in Sudbury, Canada to get original lotta outfit, uniforms and other artefacts to their local museum.

VISION AND OBJECTIVES

TKP’s pursuit is to bring the knowledge of Central Finland’s firearms industry and its importance to Finland and the Finnish people to public. To achieve this remarkable objective, TKP collects and curates information and materials.

Building a virtual museum on TKP’s website is the first tangible step in this journey.

TKP warmly welcomes any firearms, firearm supplies, and other donations related to its virtual museum project. If you want to help preserving Central Finland’s firearms and firearm supplies history or if you wish to support TKP financially, please contact tktpry(at)gmail.com.
